Free Lab – SSH, VLAN, & TRUNKING Practice

Enter Free Lab

Here you can download a free lab to practice SSH, VLAN, & Trunking creation and troubleshooting. With this you can begin to use what you know, and test what you don’t know yet! This Lab is the first lab of this series. Here you will be creating the base, and from this base we can expand to more difficult commands and theories.

Free Lab! – SSH, VLAN, & Trunking

Basic Switch Configurations LAB – Free, is a free packet tracer lab. Setting the grounds for future more difficult and challenging labs

Quick Breakdown of Concepts Covered:

SSH

SSH (Secure Shell) is a protocol that uses port number 22. It is a connection based protocol, and it is highly secure. The most typical use for this protocol is to remote into remote network devices, and servers.

Trunking

What is Trunking? In the world of networking, trunking tells the switch port to send all vlans into this one port. The result of this is after you are done, all switches will be able to share the same vlans. You can even go a step above and configure VTY. This will make 1 or more switches “vlan servers”. Their job? to make other switches learn existing vlans and new vlans, resulting in dynamic VLAN sharing.

Free Lab Purpose?

This lab is the beggining of multiple Labs to follow. Completing this lab will set the ground work for new upcoming labs!
